He has held several key leadership roles, most notably as the Joint Secretary at Nepal’s Ministry of Forests and Environment and the Province Secretary of the Ministry of Forests, Environment, and Soil Conservation in Lumbini. His career reflects a deep commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable resource management, playing a pivotal role in shaping policies and implementing initiatives aimed at preserving Nepal’s rich biodiversity and combating the effects of climate change. Pashupati holds a Master of Science degree in Forest and Nature Conservation from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, showcasing his international exposure and academic excellence. He also earned a Master of Sociology and a Bachelor of Law from Tribhuvan University in Nepal, which provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the social and legal dimensions of environmental issues. Throughout his extensive career, Pashupati has contributed significantly to various high-impact projects, particularly in the realm of forest management and climate change adaptation. His involvement in the REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) readiness programs demonstrates his commitment to integrating global environmental frameworks with local contexts. Currently, Pashupati is focused on promoting urban resilience through nature-based solutions.
